This file consists of a site visit report by Ryan Silke on the Great Bear Lake area undertaken in July 2005. Sites visited include: Contact Lake Mine, Contact Lake tunnel, Elbonanza Mine, Bonanza Mine, the Port Radium area, Mystery Island Mine and Cameron Bay (Branson's Lodge). Included after the site visit report is a title sheet and 35 mm contact negative sleeve of a Tundra Mine visit in August 2005.
The report includes: a short historical background on the mine or area, the anticipated goals of the visit; a travel log; a site investigation report; a report on the various buildings and structures remaining; report on equipment and machinery; and hand-drawn maps of the site. The report also includes 240 colour photographs (35 mm negatives) taken of the mine site and an identification lists for the images. Acid free photocopies of the colour negative sleeves and contact prints have been inserted into the textual material to signify where they were originally found.
