The video documents Rosalie Causa of Fort Providence, making traditional hare skin clothing. It was written and produced by Joyce Ronald Smith, sponsored by the Haffenreffer Museum of Anthropology, Brown University, Rhode Island.

This accession consists of one map titled "Discoveries of the Expedition under the Command of Captain Franklin, R.N.: near the mouth of the Mackenzie River and on the Sea Coast East & West," compiled by E. N. Kendall. It was published in John Franklin's, "Narrative of a Second Expedition to the Shores of the Polar Sea in the Years 1835, 1826 and 1927".

Records are comprised of a handwritten account of two prospecting trips taken in the 1940s by Lorne Bishop. It also includes a hand drawn map of the area from Great Slave Lake to Great Bear Lake.

The textual records consist of two seed tags. The photographs depict wheat farming around Fort Providence.

Records include photographs showing uranium mining operations and equipment at Rayrock Mine. The images date from the summer of 1958 and were taken by George Hunter.

The films were largely shot by Otto Binder and depict life in the Beaufort Delta region, and the community of Reindeer Station in particular. Footage of travel by water, as well as reindeer herding activities feature prominently. Shots of family and community life are also within the collection.

Records include photographs from the Sahtu region, including Deline (Fort Franklin) dating from approximately 1963-1968.

The accession relates to the Canol Project and includes air navigation maps of northern Alberta and the Northwest Territories from 1940s, river survey maps of the Mackenzie River (entire length) which include substantial details regarding depth, shoreline, cabins or structures along the river. The collection also includes engineering schematics produced by US Engineers for the US War Department depicting the Camp Canol layout, pipelines across the Mackenzie River, oil tank farms, possible routes for the pipeline, pumpstation layouts documenting the proposed flow of oil from NWT to Yukon and onto US locations, and detail drawings of specific technologies.

Records include photographs of Yellowknife taken in 1945. The images were taken by a member of the Operation Musk-ox Expedition undertaken by the Canadian Army in the winter of 1945. The images, consisting of negative and print formats, show various views of Yellowknife including Con Mine, the school on School Draw, the Wildcat Café, the Yellowknife Hotel, a De Havilland Hornet Moth airplane and a Fairchild 71 airplane on skis.

Records include photographs and postcards from two photo albums of the Ingraham family. These photo albums were likely compiled by Victor Ingraham's son Leonard in the early 1980s and comprise of family photographs spanning the 1920s through to 1971. Subjects include Victor and Florence Ingraham, their children Leonard and Louisa, and other friends, family and associates of Vic Ingraham, including Gerry Murphy. Mining activities in the Great Bear Lake region, Vic Ingraham's hotels in Yellowknife and other northern scenic photographs are also featured. Communities depicted in the photographs include Fort Chipewyan, Fort Smith, Cameron Bay and Eldorado mine on Great Bear Lake, and Yellowknife. Also included are a 'Souvenir Folder' and two colour hotel postcards.

This fonds consists of approximately 9 m of textual material and 12 colour photographic prints created by or related to the administration and operation of the Canadian Auto Workers Union Local 2304, formerly CASAW Local 4, in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. Includes correspondence and reports originating from the Union's office, files relating to grievances, arbitration, the collective bargaining process with Giant Mine, joint occupational health and safety meeting minutes and case files, and legal documents largely related to the 1992 strike at the mine and subsequent civil lawsuits. Files relating to Giant Yellowknife Mines include correspondence, reports, policies and procedures, scientific studies relating to arsenic, cyanide, and asbestos, and operational records detailing the day to day operations of the mine. A separate set of records relate to the operation of the Salmita Mine, which was also owned by Giant.

The text and approximately half of the images were kept as a scrapbook recounting travels with Commissioner Stuart Hodgson, and life in Yellowknife as written by Mary Ellen Davies. The remaining images document the same time period and events, but were not included in the scrapbook.

Records consist of a report and booklet about the T.E.S.T. Ski Program, a booklet and program for the Top of the World Ski Championships, a booklet for the Northern Games, and a program for Caribou Carnival. They were collected by Lorna Clement during her time in various communities of the Northwest Territories.

The photographs document the initial construction of Giant Mine in addition to general scenes of Yellowknife. They were taken by Sidney Hanford in 1945 while he was Master Mechanic at Giant Mine.

Photographs relate to Nicholas Tuele's work at the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre. Images were taken in his role to travel to NWT communities as Museum Advisor in the early 1980s. Images depict several communities and trips that he took including visits to Kugaaruk (Pelly Bay), Tulita (Fort Norman), Délı̨ne (Fort Franklin) and Behchokǫ̨̨̀̀̀ (Rae-Edzo). Some photos are documentation of the Tłı̨chǫ Music Project.

The records document an oral traditions project carried out by Jonas Adam on behalf of the Salt River First Nation in 1996, funded via the Oral Traditions funding program. The textual records consist of two copies of a report entitled Memories To Last. It includes photocopies of pictures, and what appear to be transcripts of the interviews with six Salt River First Nation elders: Mary Rose Benwell, Napoleon (Abraham) Nasgadhe, Philip Cheezie, Mary Jane Bruno (Taylor), Wilfred Beaulieu, and Oliver Beaulieu. The photographs primarily document Yellowknife, including the town, residents, and surrounding mine sites; shipyards and docks of Waterways, Alberta; the fish camp operated by McInnes Products Corporation, Limited, at Gros Cap on Great Slave Lake; and the town, residents, and shipyards of Fort McMurray, Alberta. Other locations documented include Peace River and Fort Fitzgerald, Alberta, as well as Fort Chipewyan, Rocher River, and Fort Resolution, NWT.

Records include two narrated video slide shows created in 2005, and one self-published memoir created in 2015, which all include photographs taken during Dr. Ernest Jarman's time as Medical Officer for Indian Health Services at Faraud Hospital in Fort Rae (Behchoko) from July 1954 to June 1956.
The first video consists of 96 individual images and includes the following: Jarman family activities in Fort Rae, treaty payment, delivery of goods by air and by water, views of residences and buildings in Fort Rae. The second video consists of 50 individual images and includes various family activities, graveyards in Fort Rae, activities within the Faraud hospital, hunting, winter in Fort Rae. People included in the photographs in both videos include RCMP constables Ken Plumm [Kenneth Plomp], Buck Thomas and Terry Garvin, Indian Agent Kirkby, Oblate priests, Chief Jimmy Bruneau and Chief Jimmy Kia, and Naomi Murphy. Communities featured include Fort Rae (Behchoko), Yellowknife, Whatı̀ (Lac la Martre), Hay River and Fort Providence.

The text consists of a 54 page self-published memoir, "Through Dr. Jarman's eyes - going North in 1956: featuring Dr. Ernie Jarman's photos and slides of Fort Rae and surrounding area, Northwest Territories, Canada" by Dr. Ernie Jarman and Marnie Jarman Bethell, written in 2015.

Records are comprised of two bound, unpublished manuscripts typed by Catherine Hoare entitled Adventures Unlimited. The manuscipt, authored in 1964, details the time that Mrs. Hoare and her husband William Hoare spent in northern communities including Aklavik, Tuktoyaktuk, Coppermine (Kugluktuk), Fort Reliance, Baker Lake, and Herschel Island between 1914-1931. The manuscript appears to be a transcript of journals kept by William and Catherine Hoare woven together with Mrs. Hoare's explanatory narrative. It details the travels and experiences of the family but also contains recolllections of historical events, including a version of the murder of Harry Radford and George Street.

The textual records include a diary and a notebook written by John Paterson, a letter from Jack Stark to John Paterson and a pamphlet of the Northern Transit Service. The diary recounts Mr. Paterson's time as a trapper and fur trader in the Snowdrift (Lutselk'e) area from the fall of 1924 to the summer of 1925. The notebook describes Mr. Paterson's arrival in Canada and how he came to be in the North.

Records include images of Inuvik, including photographs of construction work, the original town and power station and two community dances.

The majority of the slides depict community life and residents of the communities of Fort Rae (Behchoko), Fort Providence, and Fort Simpson. There are also a few images from other communities in the NWT and several images depicting Dene children visiting Calgary on a field trip called "Operation Dogrib" organized by Emile and Evalyn Gautreau.

The images depict the Con and Negus Mine sites in their early days.

This fonds consists of 374 images comprised of 167 colour slides, 115 colour photograph prints, 5 colour negatives (duplicates corresponding to 5 of the 115 prints in N-2009-006) and 87 b&w negatives. The photographs, taken by Foster, document several NWT communities in the 1970s and 80s, including Snare Lake (Wekweti), Holman, Fort Smith and Lac La Marte (Whati). There are also photographs from what is now Nunavut, including Iqaluit, Rankin Inlet, Lake Harbour (Kimmirut), and an outpost camp just outside Lake Harbour (Kimmirut). There are are 106 print photographs that document changes in Yellowknife's downtown core from 1978 - 2001. There are also several photographs from the Beaufort Sea which were taken while Foster was evaluating the impact of off-shore drilling on the nearby communities. Also included are nine colour photographs of the Lupin and Polaris mines at Resolute Bay, taken in 1980. Overall themes include mining, firefighting and fires, oil and gas exploration, community life, housing, fishing, aerial shots of communities, recovery of a float plane from Back Bay, the 1988 Yellowknife air show, tundra and foliage, and the 1972 solar eclipse in Rankin Inlet.
