The aircraft was purchased through broker Russ Bannock of Bannock Aerospace in 1984 for $277,000. deHavilland manufactured 60 DHC-2Mark3 Turbo-Beavers in the 1960's with many going to the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) CF-OEZ was SN 55 of the 60 built and came off the line in Nov 1968. CF-OEZ was a dedicated aircraft for the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) C-FOEZ was sold to Central Mountain Air in 1992 in a deal where WAL purchased a Turbo-Otter from them (C-GCMY) [A deHavilland Turbo-Beaver (call number C-FOEZ) on the Mackenzie River near Fort Simpson in fall.]
