Caption Source: Bill Addison because we ran out of tape & time (at 1 am) before Charlie could
describe it.
Photographer: likely Isidore Villeneuve because Charlie noted that he "was sweet on Norah,"
but, if so, he has a new camera which is sharp to the edges.
WDA's Comments, 2014 Mar 04: Likely Norah McKay [spelling unknown] on left and
unknown lady. The branching habit and leaves of some of the bushes are look like Saskatoon
berries, also called Service berries. They may be picking them and the older lady appears to
have bitten into a particularly sour one. With Norah Mckay in the photo, it must have been taken
near Fort Simpson.

WDA's Comments, 2014 Mar 04: This photo was cut out of a larger photo. Poole Field's
home was in Nahanni Butte when he was the age that he appears to be in this photo but the photo
offers no clues as to that being the location. Poole was used as a guide on a number of occassions
and he would also go to Fort Simpson, so location is unknown. Judging from his appearance, this
was taken in the 1930s . The other man is dressed like a mechanic or an engineer on a boat. [He is identified as Bill Edwards in the Bill Clark photographs.]

WDA's Comments, 2014 Mar 04: Based on Charlie's verbal descriptions, the man would
appear to be Joe Hope (a Cree-Melis), once the Chief of the Fort Simpson Slavey band. The
women are unidentified. Photos 158-161 are taken in front of the same building with similar
lighting and, thus, were all probably taken at the same time.
