One folder consisting chiefly of correspondence, meeting minutes, enrolment statistics, and photocopied excerpts from annual reports of the Department of Northern Affairs and National Resources, all relating to education in the North. Includes a program from the official opening of the Fort Smith federal school and hostel in 1958 (later J. B. Tyrrell School and Breynat Hall). Most of the material dates to the 1950s, but the file also includes letters written in 1981-1982 regarding the residential school in Shingle Point by a teacher who worked there in 1929.
