The photographs are images of College events, classes, staff, and students. The bulk of the textual records were created by the offices of the President and Vice-President (Aurora Campus, Inuvik) and include Board records, correspondence, reports, program files, committee files, policies, strategic plans, organizational charts, job descriptions, marketing files, and newsletters. There is also a series of minutes from the Board of Governors of Thebacha College and Arctic College as well as several committees reporting to the Board.

These records, dated between 1968-1978, come from the Central Registry and were generated by the Director of Education (70 block), School Services (73 block) and Continuing and Special Education (75 block). The records relate to pupil residences, student hostels, teacher education programs, as well as adult vocational training centres and courses. There are Quarterly Returns for Breynat Hall, Lapointe Hall, Grollier Hall, Stringer Hall, Fleming Hall and Chief Jimmy Bruneau that date from 1969-1974.

In addition, there is a copy of a Literacy Proposal to Multiculturism and Citizenship Canada that was submitted by Arctic College. There are also records related to departmental strategic planning and the creation of the Strength at Two Levels document and People: Our Focus, Our Future - A Strategy to 2010. In addition, there are records related to the Senior Secondary Community Schooling Policy, ECE Senior Management Committee, ECE Executive Committee, Information Steering Committee and Traditional Knowledge Committee.

Records date from 1997-2000 and include reference material, reports, plans, terms of reference, minutes and correspondence related to the work of the Postsecondary Education Review Steering Committee and NWT Standing Committee on Teacher Training. Records also consist of reports from the NWT Labour Force Development Forum, "The Bridge to my Future-A Report on Adult Basic Education in the NWT," and proceedings from a roundtable that was held on workplace literacy, and a report on literacy initiatives in the NWT.

Records include business plans and audited financial statements from school board divisions.

They consist of ministerial correspondence between various educational agencies or programs, including regional divisional education councils, Aurora College and the Western Arctic Leadership Program.
