Records relate to the policies regarding timber licenses, forest harvest and management, as well as correspondence regarding the Western Arctic Harvester Assistance program.
The records include evalutions from the Community Harvest Assistance Program (CHAPS), policy documents related to orphaned wildlife, proceedings from a conservation workshop and files from the department's internal Wildlife Legislation Committee.

The records include policies and directives, reports, correspondence, briefing material, questionnaires and surveys, sketches of trap sets, program information and application forms, FMB submissions and decisions, excerpts from the Operations Manual, harvest results, community fur returns, statistics, meeting material, marketing research, and reference material. The files also include records of the NRCTF, including related legislation, financial records, list of trustees, directive, agenda, procedures, annual report, by-laws, minutes, press release, brochure, correspondence, excerpts from Board Handbook, proposals, ranking of proposals, reports, and photographs.
Records deal with recreation centres, the Northwest Territories Centennial in 1970, Arctic Winter Games, Northern Games, NWT Youth Services and some regional reports.

The records include material from internal ITI meetings on the Mackenzie Gas Project National Energy Board proceedings and ITI publications from 2008, including the Sahtu Regional Newsletter (August 2008), Grants and Contributions Programs Results Report 2007/2008, Canada/NWT Agriculture Policy Framework Agreement Small Scale Foods/Community Garden Initiative, and various draft articles.
Records document the evaluation process of a funding proposal submitted by the Northern Arts and Cultural Centre. Additionally, files contain a report produced by the division regarding the Open Sky Artist's Festival in Fort Smith.

The records include files from the Central Registry filing system and are from the following series: Tourism-Development Series (61 block) includes files relating to Camps and Lodges; Industry and Commerce Series (62 block) includes files relating to the Rankin Inlet Cannery; Research and Evaluation series (64 Block) includes research files on various industries, economic and statistical information, reports, studies, proposals, and committee records. Administrative Series (68 block) includes files relating to Equipment; and the Loans and Grants Series (69 Block) contains files relating to the Eskimo Loan Fund. The fonds also includes approximately 10 centimeters of material dated [1973-1977] which includes a brochure on a development fund, 3 reports on NWT tourism and 3 reports on rotation work schedules in the NWT as well as 1 cm of material relating to wildlife enforcement.

There is also a binder listing communities within the Northwest Territories, which details federal funding received, number of jobs created, and total man-weeks funded by federal manpower projects such as the Short Term Employment program (STEP) between May 1977 and October 1978.
